Gotta admit, corvo's general okayness is curious. I mean, sure he let the guy live but i would figure hed still be a little burnt about his ladies murderer having him ~in the palm of his hand~(pun intended).
I actually really want daud trying to paint now. If hes actually that bad an artist hed had to commission someone else or do practice doodles! Haha
I know that canonically Corvo is still p pissed at Daud about what happened, but I really wanted to approach it from a more...practical point of view? The games feel like they don't take place too long after each other because we don't have that in-between, but he and Emily have actually had fifteen years to grieve, to process what happened. There's also the fact that Daud really was just a tool--if it hadn't been him, Burrows would have just found another assassin. So I like to poke at it from a place where Em and Corvo have a more dispassionate, logical viewpoint: Corvo's assassinated people before, I feel like he would understand that it wasn't anything other than a job. He wouldn't like it, of course, but the hate that's implied in DH2 and The Corroded Man wouldn't be nearly so intense. (plus i mean. it would get in the way of my ship. cough)
daud being a shitty artist and only able to draw stick figures and then it still working would be absolutely HILARIOUS
