Ohmigosh this is delightful! I love the interactions between Miguel and Elena! And all those parts where Hèctor imitated Imelda’s handwriting instead of her voice! And there’s just so much good stuff here. “Coco, remember his giant hat? It matches his giant head” And now I can’t help but imagine Coco and Imelda disagreeing on exactly how the words to “Remember Me” are supposed to go and writing Hèctor for an accurate copy. And Coco crowing in triumph when she proves she had it right.
And don’t think for a second I didn’t notice that Holes reference XD “no-good dirty rotten guitar playing great-great-grandfather” indeed lol
Imelda would have been like 'dammit, outremembered by a four-year-old.' 'Remember me each time you hear a sad guitar... you ruined guitars for me, Hector!'
It's a wonderful phrase, isn't it? There's no bad moment to call somebody a no-good dirty rotten noun-verbing... well it works best if you happen to be speaking to your great-great-grandfather but you could just call them a great-great-grandfather anyway, confuse the heck out of them.
