  1. Yo like this chapter says a lot about temple's motivations and just,, batshit crazy mindset. it's like watching the psych profiling on criminal minds when it all comes together; seriously uncomfortable, but so interesting and fitting that you can't look away. I like this take of temple as an over-possessive 'friend' (and by extension, leader).

In one of my story analytics classes, the professor asks us to always determine a turning point in our reading, whether it be when we realized what the story was truly about, or when we could finally pass final judgement on a certain character. that bit with temple refusing to see biff's kid? that moment for me. showed exactly how shallow his 'friendship' with biff really was. temple is very much in the business of being the sole benefactor in any relationship, and that exchange about the kid is what made me realize that. it was a great scene packed with way more character insight than i expected from that exchange. fantastic! kudos!

    1. Gah, thank you so much for this insightful review. I love diving into Temple's character, and for this chapter to give so much insight to you readers is just wonderful to hear.
You are so right about the mention of the kid being the kinda turning point. I see Temple as a character who was obsessed with being best friends with Biff to the point where it started to not really matter? That small comment he makes in the flashback in the show, "You'll just have to sit out your tour like the rest of us", I see as quite bitter, with Temple not wanting Biff to leave - and so being hurt by the fact that BIff was willing to leave him behind. And when Biff was killed, this obsession was being the perfect best friends turned into something darker, now when Biff wasn't there to somewhat control it.
Thank you so much again! The support means a lot!
