        I still feel like it's cheating on the original prompt since I'm using known characters vs. creating brand new AUs.

          Meh - I think it's more interesting because rather than making small changes in Clint's backstory you're using completely different characters that are all somehow Clint-like. Renner does play to a type, doesn't he? :)

            Well...I chose the characters to pull into the fic, so I can't say all the blame lies with Mr. Renner. He does look amazingly good holding a gun, so I can see why he's chosen for certain roles.

            I have to say that this fic has garnered the fastest and most numerous responses to my fics so far. :-)
