So um can I just say, HOLY SHIT? I am so happy you decided to update this story, because I never would have found it otherwise, and it is AMAZING! I just love the way you play with their timelines and giving River multiple different regenerations gives me LIFE because it's what she deserves!!! And the way you describe their home and their family and the little life they've made for themselves is so lovely, and the interactions with Amy and Rory, with Nine- all just beautiful and brilliantly done. And it's so gut wrenching when the Doctor has to leave them, and so perfect the way young River goes from trying to kill him to trusting him - and I'm just dying to find out if they'll all get to be together again. I can't wait to read more! Thank you so much for this!
I'm so glad you like it. For me, the strength of River and the Doctor's story is that aching, bittersweet foreknowledge that each has about the other's death and the strength it takes to love despite all that. So there's probably more heartache and joy in store for both of them as this story wraps up.
