Holy shit what a champ. Dashing and supportive and scary strong and smooth as fuck! I didn't expect this to become a legit love triangle, but Yusuke is killing it. The whole dynamic of their relationship just flipped there. And now Yusuke knows that Akira is a bad influence, uh oh.
That was all so intense, Wakaba&Futaba&Goro&Mona going home to Boss in the end gave me a lot of feelings. I know Wakaba has to work on herself, like Sae did in canon, but in this universe they can maybe be happy dammit!! Maybe...
Now what is Robin Hood up to...? Helping Goro find himself.....? Metaverse mechanics are hard. Good job weaponizing your hollowness and personality problems, wildcard boys.
I'm praising my own ego here, but writing this fic has turned Yusuke from someone I thought was cute but just eccentric into like, my second/third fave character in P5. This past arc he has levelled up completely and become his own being, possibly even Goro's right hand (esp since I've been useless and written no Makoto THERE WILL BE MORE MAKOTO soon). Not sure if Goro's willing to be more open about his attraction now, but after this he definitely no longer thinks of Yusuke in a semi-paternalistic sense. The boy can take care of himself!
And now Yusuke and Akira know Goro's associated with each other, they also go to the same school in the same year, and if you haven't noticed the Thieves here are even less subtle than in canon, just incredibly lucky so far.
This story will 100% have a happy ending! Everyone will get put through the ringer, but no one is leaving unsatisfied.
Robin Hood is just trying to push Goro's character development along lol. He's still in the process of learning to love himself and find his own justice. Robin wants to see that ultimate Persona one day!
Yay! I can't lie, I am a huge sucker for happy endings.
Yusuke as more of a right hand could be fun. Mr Perfectionist Fake-It-Til-You-Make-It covers some very different skillsets from the emotionally authentic guy who chooses not to have a filter. But of course it's up to where the story takes you.
Aw, Robin, you'll get out of that weird Captain America hat someday. Just keep at it buddy. <3
