      well given how Thor beat the shit out of Magni to near death I always thought of Thor (or at least the GOW version) to be kind of a monster and kind of a daddy boy.

      Given how he slaughtered all the giants in jotenheim and there was that ghost who wanted revenge for when Thor killed his family.

      but guess he did have some... love for family.

      But did Odin really give that much of a shit for Baldur?

        Thor beat the shit out of Modi the creep not Magni,and i really think he cares for his familly he can't just be a full monster we need some grey too .
        Don't know about Odin but for him Baldur is his best tracker so his has some confidence about him .

            Odin really loved his first wife who was a giant ,her death ( it is implied that Thor her own son was somehow responsible for her death ) caused such grief and sadness to Odin that even Mimir acknowledges that Odin was distraught and lonely after the death of his great love,so he was not so bad before, and it seems like he had forgive his Son for her death ( if it's true Thor kill her ), but ok he killed his own son Tyr that not cool i agree...

              still was a manipulative bastard for what he did. Like stealing all of Freya's power and secrets and condemning her to Midgard not to mention how he cursed Mimir to a tree and Mimir even admits how Odin tortures him for his own amusement.
