    Yup. Fair amount of other Persona fic and Let's Plays. The halves of Persona 2 take place in different alternative worlds, but 3, 4, and 5 seem to take place in the same world. The MegaTen folks seem to have designed that world so that they could keep the powers of Persona relatively contained. A different design choice made sense for crossing with Worm, but I haven't made that one yet for Hei-fic.

    I've been reading up on trump decks for my Yuzu fic. (Still in early design stages, darn it. I think I need a lot of work to find the least complex character arc to get her from start to end.)

    In some of the Italian playing decks, The Tower was called the Hellmouth. Per wiki. Also per wiki, there is a real someone-actually-wrote-it 'magic' book with a spell that uses one of the italian decks to invoke Janus. My thinking was less "Let's replace one of the 3/4/5 protagonists with Hei" and more "Hei is seventeen, doesn't have a stable family life, and there is space in the timeline for a year spent in a thematically appropriate locale." Then I started brainstorming locales. You may have some idea of my ability to convince my self that a dozen and a half properties are necessary and appropriate. Before breakfast. The biggest problem? Darker than Black's 'fake sky' would potentially seem to conflict with a world with beanstalk installations. Okay, also my usual "How do I find a simple path through this complicated mess?"
