well, Drue was new that year of DC (his only year) and he seemed to be the type of guy Logan would party with. I see him as a crony type who showed up enough times to party with the 09ers (and occasionally V).
Dawson loved Joey, and years of friendship gave him this entitlement of her. He was a terrible friend, but he was hurt that they didn't get their fair shot, that Joey and Pacey kept it from him, that they went off and left him behind. It's super easy to judge him for being a bad friend, but it's easy to overlook how much it devastated his world. He wasn't exactly alone, but it really ruined his friendship with Pacey. It was never the same after. At least, that's my opinion.
