Sorry for the late reply, I've spent these few days figuring out how to reply in a way that isn't just "thank you so much for reading and commenting!!!!!!!!" followed by potentially spoilery comments about my own story (I get ridiculously excited over my own plot and it bothers me that I have to actually write it instead of just talking about it).
Well, to be 100% fair, the "Canonical Character Death" tag could be/could have been about Optimus and/or about all the Vehicons that keep getting killed, so it wasn't wrong of you to hope. (Please don't take that as either confirmation nor denial of Breakdown's and/or OP's survival in this fic.)
goldenTrinket is my child and I love her and I'm afraid she'll keep messaging Starscream because no one taught her not to befriend giant murderous robots on the internet (to be fair, she thought she was befriending a random human).
