    Wow, lost track of this one!

    First, boo on Celene for the expulsion of elf students, and her whole “I give and I give but it’s never enough!” So that justifies undoing the small gains that were made, eh? Then again Celene is a fine example of a person believing their own lies... she looks at the token gestures made towards elves, the vast majority of whom would never benefit from them (for every elf sponsored for the university, there are thousands who aren’t) and views it as evidence of her great generosiy.

    Aurelie is an interesting character. Her conscience doesn’t seem wholly dead, as if it were she wouldn’t need to keep reminding herself that her morals are for sale. There are a lot of parallels between her and a young Briala, I think. Still very infatuated... and only at the beginning of being strung along by Celene and her promises that will never be kept.

      Celene's delusions about being gracious to elves is limitless.

      I hope you like where Aurélie's character will go. I definitely think a comparison between her and a younger Briala is a good one.
