That's one of my problems with both of the club links. Choose one, the other suffers. You help all of them with their personal problems, but you can only choose two. The others, they're on their own. That's just wrong if you ask me. It's almost worse with the Strength guys, because the other one with troubles is right there, and you can't do a thing for them.
Maybe that's why the Navigators are consistently my favorites. Also because the buffs are super helpful.
Spooky scary skeletons, send shivers up your spine! (I'll see what I can do between the drag, Phoenix Rangers, and gag glasses. For now, enjoy that skeleton song being stuck in your head.)
I like to think that it says that the other can manage without you. Like yeah they all have problems, but they're not ones that can't be overcomed on their own. If anything, it's a good reminder that you don't need to be there in order for others to succeed. The only problem is, you don't see them doing so, which is why I complain about never seeing the other when doing one Sun Link. Fitting considering what month it is.
If something doesn't show me an idea coming to fruition, I'd say it's a null point. But then, there's only so much you can do to show the one you don't Link with that doesn't spoil their whole storyline for the future playthrough where you do that other Link. It's kind of wobbly all around from where I'm standing. (But then, I might just be bitter I have to look up Social Link events on Youtube for the two I'm not playing in order to write for them. That might be part of it.)
Wait, that gives me an idea. A Link where you choose one of two characters, but in a way where it's styled as a clash of ideas. Think the Law and Chaos divide in SMT IV on a micro scale. You primarily bond with the one you chose and help them work through their deal, but you still see and deal with the negative aspects in the other in a more antagonistic manner. There's some ideas about human relations and the butterfly effect that can be said that way, I think.
Oh, you want a wacky weather story? Day before yesterday, it was about fifty degrees Fahrenheit. Yesterday, it jumped up to eighty. Today, there's a high of forty. The American Midwest, where you see all four seasons in the span of a week.
That's true. Speaking of, which Links are you doing in-game? I'm guessing Yumi and Kou's since they seem a bit more represented in this chapter. ...So basically Walter and Jonathan when the split happens except over a longer period of time? That would be incredibly interesting. It would also present two sides to both characters, one where they treat you as a friend, and another where they see you as an enemy. It would also be a good throwback to Persona's origins as a spin-off of the SMT series. After all, P5's established the franchise as it's own seperate entity, but it's always a good idea to press f to pay respects. I'd also really like it if your teammates' Personas didn't change due to finishing their Links, but in their own events that happens as you progress through the story like they did with P3. I mean, obviously maxing their Links would give them their Evade skills or even a unique skill that is tailored specifically to them, but I feel like the whole "being friendly with these peope makes them stronger" deal kind of makes it questionable whether their Personas evolved because they changed somehow, or because you were there. I don't think that's very weird. It just means you're transitioning from Summer to Fall. I mean, it's only a 30-40 degrees difference.
Ayane and Kou, actually. Yumi's just more assertive than Ayane, and Drama Club struck me as the more likely of the two culture clubs to make Yu accidently step wrong.
At least for some of your teammates, anyway. A few who you need to help with their issues, a few that can deal on their own. It would make the Links a little less predictable on the gameplay front, though it might also slant how close you feel to the characters since the ones that evolve with you would be inherently closer. But then, there are friends you're closer with than certain other friends, but translating the reasons for that into gameplay could be a rickety transfer.
It's just weird to flip from comfortably cool to sweating my skin off to freezing in the span of three days, even after a lifetime spent in the area. Mother Nature is fickle.
