   +kudos here too. Excited to see another chapter of this. I especially liked the bit where Garak is telling Giel that he is different and then realizes that he *himself* is different, making a conscious decision to be a bit more Bashir-y in his approach. It was a nice moment of realization amidst the action.
   Looking forward to the next! :)

      Thanks AlphaCygni:-) Yes, this chapter took a while: work has been intense over the summer (I'm sat there right now typing on a Sunday) lol! Hopefully everything will calm down soon and the next but won't take so long. This is the longest story I've written so far: it's so hard to keep the plot in your head when you have to keep switching into real life/professional mode isn't it! I'm getting a new respect for all you long-fic writers... :-)
