    This is amazing - the tension between them, Naoto's perplexity at how interaction is supposed to work between friends (and her businesslike attitude). I love Kanji's gruffness and fractured sentences, and I found the way you addressed Rise as adapting to everyone around her to be really interesting - usually I think of Souji like that, but it's true that Rise does it too. And I love that Rise uses -kun for Naoto. yes good.

    tl;dr this is awesome and I'm glad I got to read it.
