    Aww...thank you! It is a serious compliment that anyone would look at this and then have it deepen their understanding or own interpretations of the character.
    *scratches at back of head* Yeah...it did start as an exercise and it kind of got away from me. Unfortunately my brain doesn't like to give me nice little contained stories. It basically goes "here! Have a novel!" That was something my grad school program really had to beat into me--the necessity and art of the short story. If I couldn't tell a controlled self-contained story in the short form, there was no way I'd do it in the long. My brain is still more likely to give me multi-part, series-length stories, but I /can/ at least now write in the short form and all of my work has benefited from it.

      If you don't write down or record what's in your head and it flies away from you, how regretful would that be? I just appreciate the simple fact that people are contributing to the fandom. I can't do that because I overthink any plots I do have...so the fact that you are not only grammatically talented but capable of gracing us with such amazing plot is a gift from above (whether that's aliens or heaven, you decide).
