    Ahhh I may take you up on this! Thank you! I've been out here googling "how many sheep does the average farmer have" and "what type of sheep has the best wool" and I could probably do with a sheep correspondent... I'll give you a shout :)

      My personal faves are Blue Faced Leicesters - they have nice wool for spinning, are mid sized and are fairly sensible for sheep.

      My first corgi herded them with gusto and we used tiptables to worm and shot them. No we have those headstalls that hook right on the fence for shearing time and they are delightful.
