So is Dean having some serious abandonment issue here? He was really aggravated by the whole stuff even though he knew it was bound to happen. Roman was the one who had to deal with him once again, poor dude. Dean thought he had just had a new family member after a lousy childhood and suddenly it was taken away from him again. I can see why he reacted so negative and even Roman could not understand why, because I think Dean was partially right, Roman doesn't suffer much as he did and almost had everything in his life, his wife and daughter and his family.
Well, yes, you nailed it. Dean saw Shield as a family and he's worried (with some reason) about that. Dean never had a family, Roman has had an overabundance of family all his life.

At first I don't really understand why Dean was so pissed off and I was kinda mad that Roman had to deal with his tantrum but after I went through the chapters I don't blame dean anymore. It was easy for people to look at the betrayal angle as common stuff, but I think it was a big deal to Dean. WWE made the superstars to live kayfabe even when they are off stage, so I can totally relate what Dean was feeling. He would never get to get around Seth as his family ,traveling separately and having to watch Seth hang around HHH and Steph, I guess that really effect him so much. That's the part Roman would not understand, I think.
Well, I did take some liberties because it's fiction. I'm pretty sure this break up was planned a lot longer than a day. If you watched the PPV with Shield's last appearance, when they did the "press conference" Seth was looking irritated at Dean, there was just this foreshadowing feeling I didn't even pick up on until after the Shield broke up and I went back and watched it.
But yeah, everyone thinks Kayfabe is in the past and yeah a lot of it is, but I can't help but notice you don't find pictures of Joe, Jon, and Seth just hanging out around anymore. It's like, "We can't say you can't be friends, but remember you work this job 300 days a year and while you're working, we're not going to put you together."
I figure Roman was just rolling with it. Roman figured "This is the way it is, we'll deal," Dean was seeing it as "We're going to drift apart now." And he's kind of right. It's hard to keep a big friendship going when you're being forced in different directions. This isn't like filming a regular TV show where in a few months, they'll be done with this season and they'll have all the time in the world to be buddies.
