    Not going to lie, I was a bit leery when I saw the premise, but, I've definitely seen weirder and I know anything you write is going to be awesome, so of course I'm going to read it. The idea of Lena without the Luthor at all, and Kara without the Danvers, is really interesting. I think it'll be an interesting comparison in nature versus nurture.

      You know, I've gotten an alert for a fic, raised my eyebrows, and had to go back and check to see who wrote it. Only when I knew the name of the writer did I feel comfortable moving forward. You know, 'you haven't steered me wrong yet you crack-whore wordsmith, so lead on'. I think it's an interesting view into the mind of a writer when they veer strangely off canon. I've read a few where they could have replaced the names with anything and had it be an original fic, yet we always gravitate back to the familiarity of our fandom.

      I hope to keep this from feeling like just a substitution of names. Kara definitely doesn't feel like Lena from the get-go. Lena is more canon Kara-like, but of course, she felt driven to go into science (and she's vegan).

      Thanks for your faith in me. I hope not to let you down. Feel free to shout out if I'm straying off the beaten course and it feels like we've hit quicksand.

          I'm actually doing quite well. 2018 was rough. I won't pretend otherwise, but it seems to be ending well. I'm looking forward to 2019 being even better.

              Well, good luck to you. Cooking is something in which I don't enjoy and at which I don't excel. I can make basic foods well enough, but it just isn't my thing. I hope it's something you enjoy doing.

              I hope you have a great time with friends/family (The slash always makes me think something different because of writing fanfic. Like, did I just wish you a happy Christmas orgy? 0_0). Well now, I definitely can't say I hope 2018 ends with a bang. Sigh. My brain is not being my friend today. Just be happy for the remainder of this year, and I hope 2019 treats you right. I'm going to slink away now before something inappropriate forces its way out.
