      It is! In the Warm Bodies universe, when a corpse takes a bite of human brain, they get to relive memories from the person whose brain they're eating, and each bite is new and different. It's the closest to feeling like they're living as they really get, which is why they really like brains. I always thought that was a cool bit of world building :D

      Also, if a corpse eats a human's brain, that human will not reanimate as a corpse. If the brain is left intact and the person is merely bitten, though, they do come back as a zombie
