Poor Aramis, he suffers the greatest pangs! Like I said before, it's so easy to manufacture drama for these characters, because they get offended at literally anything, so it doesn't really matter what the trigger is. (My favourite is still Aramis killing de Chatillon at the battle of Charenton because he'd laughed at something Athos had said LOL LOL)
This Louis was very much written under the influence of BBC Louis, whom I adored. He so much enjoys playing cupid (and being asked by Athos to do so). I feel that Athos and Porthos were quite happy to get involved in the whole Plot, because it was a nice diversion and they were bored. They like getting themselves into silly scrapes from time to time.
Chapter the next will be up in a bit. And happy New Year! I hope you had a good New Year's Eve and that 2019 is treating you well so far <3
Oh man, I remember even when I read 3M for the first time as a 12 year old simultaneously being instantly smitten and also confused as all hell because who reacts like these men?? How are they having duels to the death (in contravention of the laws of even that time!) over idiotic things like "you saw the underside of my cloak" and "you said I dropped a letter"?! And yes, Aramis killing a man for laughing, but Athos is free to say it! Taken literally they are all so ridiculous and melodramatic XD
2019 has been splendid so far and will be even more delightful when your next chapter is released!! :)
Oh and I have a question for you: someone on a discord chat is trying to find the old movie / TV adaptation that faithfully shows Athos fainting in Treville's rooms. I did not know such a treasure existed. Do you know of it, by any chance? I think it is not the 1935, 1948, 1976 or 19 7 3 versions.
"I will tell you my name if you insist, but then I will have to KILL YOU!" Athos to random Englishman who is unlucky enough to be drawn into a duel, LOL
I'm not very well-versed in adaptations, but I know El is, you could poke her somewhere up or downthread. If there is an adaptation with Athos fainting, she's likely to know it!
2019 has been splendid so far That's good to know, now I'm very much looking forward to 2019!
