First? I love the names in this. They flow off the tongue and sound very Awoken. Second: Ikora's book!! How charming. I really like the efficient way in which you paint in Iona's history, her melancholy, the sweep and detail of it. It's also just really lovely how the first thing she notices about Lithia is a sense of kindness, and how she seems vaguely familiar (!!! I'm fond of the old Star Wars fanon that Force-sensitive people who were going to end up together tended to feel like they recognized one another) and is frank enough to ask about memories and welcoming enough for "old sister."
Thank you! I'm glad all the background I've got in my brain on Iona reads well! i was concerned no one would understand if I only put in little things, but also feared boring a reader with a recap of all the sad things from her decades of life. Less was more, whew!
