Kudos on another fantastic story! I got behind over the summer so I'm spending my break catching up, and I love what I've read so far!
So you hit on one of my personal "I probably know too much about this" topics, which would be fire and forensics (I'm a forensics major, I took a class about the chemistry of fire and explosives as part of that. Fascinating stuff). I have to commend you for some of the more accurate descriptions and situations around the fire stuff. It made me happy to see my field portrayed accurately.
Interestingly (to me, anyway), "flash point" is a term used in fire chemistry to describe the pressure at which a liquid has just enough vapors to burn over quickly. I feel like this is an accurate description of the show Flashpoint, where high-pressure situations can be over in a moment, for good or for bad.
Thank you for this wonderful, amazing world you've blended together. I've been praying for you and I will continue to do so in the future. Best wishes!
Thanks for the comment and I hope you continue to enjoy this series as you catch up.
A forensics major sounds very cool - I'm afraid my own forensic knowledge comes strictly from 10,000 and one CSI, Forensic Files, and Cold Case Files. Along with the knowledge sprinkled through practically every cop drama to come down the pike. Glad I was able to get the fire stuff half right - that was the goal; in defense of your field, I'm sure you know now that Moffet had a hand in the final forensics report and probably sabotaged it most outrageously.
I believe I already knew that little tidbit about the phrase 'flash point'; I wouldn't doubt that this phrase directly inspired the show's title! Quite apt on a number of fronts. I was going to say 'points', but that's just bad punning.
Thank you so much for your comments and your prayers.
