Okay, Momo’s definitely getting extremely anxious. Is that going to be a panic attack? Yep, it’s a panic attack. *squeal* Shouto and Tokiya are picking her up? I bloody live for this. And Shouto is still able to calm her down just by being present, how we’ve previously noted. And Shouto playing with Tokiya only makes her happier as well. And *they are already used to his presence in their lives*. Uuuggh I don’t know if I’m supposed to sniff at that or if that was my cold but the reaction was there. Like…it’s already becoming the usual. Taking out enough dishes, cooking enough…it’s both so wonderful and bittersweet because they haven’t made anything clear between them yet and I have the feeling that’ll make it both easier as well as more difficult later on. Yes, Tokiya deserves a dad. And Shouto deserves time to spend with his son. I love how their dynamic already changed so something family like even though there’s so much still unclear… Yeah, Momo, he knows a lot more than you think. At least he’s definitely already got a hunch…and yes, Momo, you’re a coward, but he is as well, so don’t worry, you’re not alone in that. But that won’t make it even a tiny bit easier, so.
!! She is still a licensed hero? I can already see the need for her to intervene coming. And of course he’s still attractive, did she ever think anything else? xD “It’s a harmless offer, and there’s no deeper meaning to it” I doubt that, girl. You know that soft but sad smile people can have? That’s me while writing their fight sequence. It’s like a dance they’ve done before, yet both of them changed, changing the overall details of the dance…yet it’s still the same dance they’re dancing. That feeling of nostalgia and lost things kind of dims the actual happiness they’re feeling while training with him… Yes, girl, I have a feeling they imply exactly what you think they might do.
And…letter time!
OOOOOOH Damn I was too good with my guess last chapter. He freaking hates himself for the fact that he left her and his son…even though he’s still got hope that it’s not true.
“Why can’t you hate me?” because she still loves you, somewhere deep down, and even though we’re not completely sure which version it is that she craves…the love is still there. They just don’t know what to do with it now. (You know, I just remembered another song that might fit this story super much: Stay by Mayday Parade. My anthem of epic sadness) I love how he’s like “please tell me it’s not true” but actually knows deep down that “Yep, it’s true” and hates himself for all of the things he’s missed and messed up.
AND there’s the Endeavor parallel…Ugh, I sometimes despise to be right. (but it’s great nevertheless, believe me, Crash might be even worse) His resolve is wonderful.
AND THE ANSWER IS YES. Please, god, just try, Shouto. He needs to talk things through, definitely, also with his father. She won’t allow you to stay if you don’t ask her if you can and I’m very positive the answer wouldn’t be a clear no.
This was a great chapter, definitely, but I have the feeling I missed everything of the foreshadowing but welp, can’t do anything about it xD I love how this story is going. Yesss anxiety attacks are just too relatable and then boom Shouto is there too and Momo forgot how that used to work. So it's fair to say I live for Shouto and Tokiya bringing her up too:)
It's like an unspoken understandment that Shouto is back in their lives and it's both scary and comforting and well, Momo's in for a ride. As are we!
That's exactly it!! Cause this dance brings back memories and they realize how much has stayed the same and yet still changed, and they're trying to redo this puzzle they were once a part of but can't quite see clearly anymore.
He sure does hate himself... and I hate seeing my baby like that *ugly sob*. Oooh I have to give that a listen (why do I feel like I'll cry)
Hehe he WILL stay, the answer is, will he stay with her or by her? Also yes to the Endeavor parallel, but also keep in mind much time has passed so their dynamic will be a little bit different, when the time comes.
