Comment on The Many Quirks of Investigation Teamery

  1. Do you hear that sound? Thats the sound of a very nice ship sinking *Weep quietly in the corner*. This so unfair, my poor useless lesbian I wish you'll find some nice girl.
Since the world doesn't want to answer Kanji could you give him this message for me pretty please ? " You're Naoto-sexual go get "him" before some stupid stud steal "him" away. Seriously there is no need to overthink that much". Also Yay,one of my only straight ship is sailing . Are all the Wild Card wired to avoid any attempt from their friends to help? Things would be so much easier if they just admited they weren't okay once in a while. So is Rise realising she might not want to jump her senpai's bones so badly? Is she a closet useless lesbian or is she secretly a prude?
    Questions questions.

"The arcana is the mean by which all is revealed...including your sexuality it seems". In an entirely not scientific manner I now submit the sexuality of the arcana of the persona users thesis using data from only two groups. The Magician and Chariot are 100% straight, the Priestess is an useless lesbian, The Emperor is the oddball alongside the Fool somewhere in the middle of the spectrum or outright outside. The Lovers stay in the unknown because Rise is seemingly straight but might be more. Boy I have so many Headcanons for this series.

Next time I guess we are getting either Naoto's dungeon (I feel somewhat bad that I steamrolled over her shadow and never used her afterward) or Yu's ongoing breakdown.

I'm crossing my fingers for a Final Mix edition of P5. Persona 5 Re:Final mix or Re:bellion, I want more of this game. If it turns out to be some Racing game I'm going to be salty.

    1. "Gentlemen. It's been an honor and a privilege playing with you tonight."
*sad violin slowly submerges into the icy sea of ships long sunk*

Kanji, despite being the simple one on the surface, questions things way too much. It's almost like the game's saying he's hurting himself by going along with what society says he should be or something. He needs to wake up and smell the trap flowers blooming in his front lawn.

When people look up to you, it becomes a struggle to keep your own pedestal high for their sakes. In other words, the Wild Cards haven't realized that they aren't exempt from character development in my wheelhouse. They are historically bad at dealing with that.

Rise has high offense, but very poor defense. She can dish out flirts for days, but one good wink her way throws her off her game something fierce. She is a useless hetero.

Let's go down your theory one by one in terms of my universe here.
Magician: One is a cat, one is Yosuke. Straight as an arrow.
Chariot: Ryuji and Chie actively avoid their teams' increasing gay. Straight.
Priestess: A couple of very useless lesbians.
Emperor: Kanji is Kanji, and Yusuke... artsexual? Chalk them up as "debatable."
      Fool: Just wants love.
Lovers: Rise is Senpai-sexual. Ann is good with either, but she is also very, very gay for Shiho. This one escapes all definitions.

Well, the game is currently in the middle of Summer, and Naoto's dungeon isn't until September. She's still a ways off, on the other side of some Summer shenanigans and a certain game in a bar.
(If you're playing the original P4, I can't blame you for not using her. The gimmick of almighty and instant kills is ruined by the former's big SP cost and the latter's uselessness against bosses and inaccuracy otherwise. She's downright broken in Golden, though.)

If it's a remix, I demand more outfits (where is my drag, Atlus!?) and some hotfixes to how Morgana and Haru's plots get in each other's way. If it's a racing game, Makoto had better have a motorcycle form for Anat instead of just riding Johanna the whole time.

      1. I loved that bar part, I couldn't stop laughting all along, the king game, the music but what killed me was Naoto's deadpan "Are you a pack of imbeciles?" That was gold I would even say GOLDen. Did you see Akira's drag in Dancing night? I'd hit that knowing it's a trap.

Also I'm playing the Golden version it's just that the Teddie-Chie-Kanji combo was too good to change

        1. The anime makes the King's Game even more of a royal hoot. I haven't watched much of the production as a whole, but I love that scene. What's better than choosing one of the girls randomly? Somehow getting all of them on your lap because why not. Also his shirt is unbuttoned, so his abs are showing. Did anyone order man-whore with a side of ham?

Something about all of the good drag outfits in this series (besides Teddie in Wonderland) always carries an element of "step on me." You have the sword-wielding school delinquent and a dominatrix. Methinks Ann and Makoto influenced Akira's style a little.

          1. I only watched the first episodes from the anime ,along with the Yu vs Margaret fight and so far I like it. Does The King game you're refering to appear in the vanilla anime or the Golden animation? Because in the vanilla Yu seems a bit to awkward to be a man-whore.

Akira dominatrix look give him a bit of a Bayonneta vibe, methink it look sexy on him

Funnily enough the one drag who makes you take a double take at whatever your seeing a boy or a girl is Ken. In PQ if you happen to get him as your soulmate he keeps telling you he is not a girl and "Do I look like a girl to you?". Fast forward a few years in the dancing game, and he is the most convincing girl in the rooster propeling him to Nanako level of cute

            1. Vanilla, I believe. Yu does start a bit on the unsocial side, but that's the point. The anime shows him growing into a more social person, marking his growth by using the characteristics graph from the game. As it fills out, he gets more bold, until he's exactly the sort of guy who would take the weirdest dialogue options the game provides. Like, for example, sitting at the girl's side of the table during the Group Date Café before flirting relentlessly with Yosuke. It's actually later during the Cultural Festival that he gets the label "man-whore," direct quote, from Margaret. And Nanako repeats it later on, to Dojima's shock. (You can find all of the scenes I've mentioned on YouTube, if you're curious.)

Yeah, I see the Bayonneta resemblance. Of course, she's designed to be the ultimate dom, so it's no surprise that they used the same aesthetic cues.

You know, I was so happy to see the Akira crossdressing outfit, I forgot that they added it for other characters, too. Let me just look up the Ken version, and...

...Oh my gosh that's adorable. Teddie, you're still on top of the cuteness charts, but the competition is fierce.

              1. Dang thats my man! Getting all the girls like the King we all know he is. Though thats a bit surprising. Does he flirt with Yosuke in the anime too? Or are you one of those who enjoyed embarassing Yosuke at every turn in the game? Because I know I did ( My Yu was very proud to get onstage in a drag and was daring anyone to say anything about that).

Isn't he precious? I was so downtrodden when I realised he wasn't a social link for Minato. I mean fuck ATLUS, you made Minako able to date him (which isn't creepy at all) but I can't be that precious boy's Oni-chan? The best you can do is taking him to the movies at the end of summer to cheer him up. From what I gathered you aren't at this point yet right? Do the good thing and take him to the movies you won't regret it.

                1. All of the examples I listed were from the anime. After the adjustment period, Yu is here for a good time, and I love it. Here, have some links. The first is for the Group Date Café scene. The second is for the King's Game. (I would've linked his stellar performance at the Miss Yasogami Pageant, but it looks like no one has posted that clip on its own. You'll have to sift through a few compilations for it.)

I will answer your other question like this. My Yu is always the biggest ham in the room, and he's not necessarily straight. Take that as you will.

I haven't met Ken yet in my playthrough, but you can be certain I'll look out for the kid. After seeing him pull off that wardrobe change, he is officially admitted to the Little Sisters Protection Club.
