Aw shucks, thanks <3 When I saw all your comments I could see that you seemed to be enjoying the whole thing, and each time I was more and more dreading the time you'd reach the end of it... But thanks for your answer. (But just so you know, I didn't especially check, but you weren't the only reader who kept kudoing or commenting recently, so don't feel guilty about it x))
The more I think about LWtQ the more I want to get everything between the second part of Act III up until the middle-end of Act VI done, because those are what I would see as the best part of the story... If I do get ideas as to how to patch up those holes, who knows? The will to finish this will probably come -- the time needed probably won't, but at least that would be one half of the problem solved. And honestly, I wouldn't mind sharing ideas if some readers eager to see the end of this story do end up finding some! That would ruin part of the mystery, but... beats not having it solved at all, right?
If you're interested in any of my other works, there's this GF comic I mentioned (it's on AO3 too), and I started planning for an original project as well... But this one is on hold for the exact same reasons as this fanfic is, and I haven't published anything yet regarding that one anyway. I'm glad that it's the storytelling that kept you on board, and not just the fandom ^^'
In any case... Thank you again for your words. I'll definitely stick around, if only for nice chats - but hopefully I will go back to writing? I don't exactly know where to put the pressure. I do want to write and I have a lot of fun doing so most of the time, so... I guess the problems come when I have no free time and I feel guilty because I should work on something else, or when I come through the sort of realization I mentioned in that latest update (if you go through some of the older chapters' comments, you'll see that things didn't always go pretty... I do know I can't satisfy everyone, but still, angering people over what was supposed to be a silly fanfic? That's... everything a fanfic is NOT supposed to be. People are supposed to have a GOOD time reading, so what the heck happened?). Most of the pressure comes from me I suppose, but none of it is actually related to the action of making plots or storytelling, which are just my two favorite guilty pleasures.
So, long story short, to conclude with this story... Either someday, within a few years, I magically get the time to work on it - which is unlikely, but why not. Or if I do go back to it right now, I guess I could slip in one or two chapters in-between some pages of my comic, but... I'm going to need help patching those holes. I have way too much on my mind to think of plot mind-screws right now, sadly.
Any anger is uncalled for. Writing should take into account its audience, but it shouldn't be changed to always please them. The author has a story to tell, and if they want a different story than that, they should write it themselves. I love reading different stories for inspiration and admiration because you learn various ways to characterize and build plots. I enjoyed what you were writing. It was different and very intriguing. I wanted to know what was really going on, so I stuck around, and you really took it places I didn't expect but definitely enjoyed. So, keep writing what you want to write.
Take the time you need. Write for yourself first before you write for us, and I appreciate the response. Sorry for causing dread from my comments. 😅♥️ I saw some of the disapproval and wanted to put in my two cents.
Hi! So, uh, I didn't reply earlier because I didn't really know what to say besides things that had already been said earlier, but thanks for your message anyway ^^
In any case, I just wanted to say that I've started going back on my LWtQ notes, and the good news is, a pretty good part of the plot holes that had appeared have been patched up! It simplifies the story quite a bit so it's a good thing too, I suppose. There are still a few questions that need to be answered and I'd like to make a precise schedule like the one I originally had over a year ago in the notes I lost, but well. I just wanted to say that things are looking pretty hopeful for this story right now! Only thing I need to look out for is that I don't have much free time these days and all, but that's pretty much the only problem.
