It does! A completed Confidant link would mean they'd already be dating (or else that Ren had turned poor Haru down), so I figured it'd be best to dial it back a few ranks. I don't have a specific level in mind (for him or anyone), but they're probably hovering at around Rank 7 or 8 right now, since it's Rank 9 when all of that comes up (also I think you have to change Sugimura's heart to progress to Rank 9 anyway? It's been a while, I forget).
