Comment on What Fanworks Mean to Me 2019

Oh hello! I might as well do my part...

What devices do you usually use to access fanworks? And when do you enjoy them?

I use my cellphone and laptop. I enjoy them whenever I can. I've always been an adept reader, so between some good novels I always read some good fanworks! Also, when I can't sleep at night they are a great option to just relax.

How do you save fanworks to find again? Do you recommend them to others?

Yes, I do save works when I like them a lot. Sometimes I download them, but for Ao3 I like to insert bookmarks. In those bookmarks I like to put little annotations, and yes, I recommend them to anyone who sees my profile. Aside from the online aspect, I can't really recommend works to people in my daily life such as my dear friends because they don't speak English and almost every fanwork I read is written in English.

What are your favourite tropes to browse? What are your favourite fandoms to browse?

I love drama and fluff. I just can't get enough. However, I can enjoy a great variety of tropes as long as the writing is decent. As for my favourite fandoms, I'm really into rock music, so Pink Floyd, Queen, The Beatles... They are my thing and it shows in my history.

Do you prefer one type of fanwork (art, fic, vid etc)? What makes this your favourite?

I'm an artist myself and I draw fanart, but I personally find fanfics to be the most interesting and useful type of fanwork. I like them specially because I've been studying English for a long time now, and reading works in this language is just GREAT practice! Here in AO3 people tend to write with good grammar and minimum orthographic errors, so I can study and have a good time simultaneously.

Espero que éstos párrafos les hayan servido de algo. ¡Continúen con su gran trabajo! ❤️
