        I know of one way, if you add me as an author I can edit it before the chapters go public. And fixing things like spelling and grammar is part of editing.

          Id love for someone to correct the mistakes for me but I’d rather the storyline itself go untouched. This is the first fan fiction I’ve ever written and I’d like for it to be my own, sorry xx

            A beta doesn't have to do anything to the storyline. They just tweak words here and there and clean the story up. The beta only does as much as the author wants. I've betaed for a few people, and I have done it differently with each of them. One I was simply looking over grammar and offering my thoughts before the chapter went live. With another one I am going back and actively tweaking the spelling and grammar, and the author is also changing things here and there as the story plays out. A beta is really just there to help tighten up the story so the author's work shines even more brightly.

            From what I can tell I_is_a_person simply wants to help with the grammar. A compromise for fixing that would be using a Word Document that can be shared or edited or something like Dropbox paper, you could upload it there and they could fix the grammar and the spelling, and if there's something you just don't want touched you can leave comments and not keep the fixes on some.

            This is a great little fic, all it really needs is a beta going over it. I think anyone would be happy to help you with that. I look forward to seeing what will happen next.
