    The people who searched the blogger's rooms were the same ones who were blackmailing Tim, trying to find the USB on their own account.

    The suicides were an unrelated Zuleika Dobson reference. They were simply Leeds men who had been reading the blog and, presumably, preferred death before dishonour.

      Good! I *thought* that was Zuleika Dobson, but it's so long since I read it I couldn't quite tell.

      I've always thought Tobermory deserves his proper nine lives, and he'd make a good spy (if can keep his mouth shut long enough).
