The way her family so casually encouraged her to have a fling with Anakin, in the cut scenes of AotC, just don't make sense to me unless there's family precedent of that being okay. Making Garen her uncle is also because Winnie, as I've built her, would think it a fair trade—keep one, give one—and it would give the family the leverage point in the Order that they lost when her sister left.)
I figure that the mess with Obi-Wan is also part of why Sar's pissed. In Legends!canon, both Aurra Sing and Obi-Wan suffered at around the same time from poor assignments. Just Depa, per my story, could be chalked up to shitty circumstances and Mace overestimating his ability to protect his new padawan (since he's used to being quite skilled). But the others? And for it to keep happening? Something is wrong.

and fucking handing hostages and good SOFT targets to people that are in CLOSER and easier reach of them.
part of me is so annoyed about embassy's for that reason, any time something disaster strikes your hands get tied cause your first job has to be securing your people first that are in danger so by the time that happens the first crucial moments are closing avenues of deciions for yourself.

If family bonds (Force bonds induced by blood relationship) are a thing, I figure there would also be skewing of probabilities to draw them together, whether due to some kind of subatomic attraction or due to meddling from the various caretakers/chosen/Ones of the Force.
If the intent behind the movie line was "Padmé, just pick someone!", that means they're jerks, because they insisted despite Padmé telling them he wasn't allowed. Rush Clovis hadn't been all that long ago (admittedly probably not yet invented, when the movie came out), but you'd think they'd actually ask whatever happened with him.
You just know that each generation of Jedi has some poor sheltered kid who gets scarred by a more savvy friend who drags them to a Jedi-themed brothel. XD
Considering the sheer amount of possibility in a single Force user, it's possible that the Coruscant Order's public shunning of family and insisting Force abilities were not biologically inherited actually started as a calculated propaganda tactic to reduce how many slavers would think to try breeding for the talent. (Which is doubtless happening anyway, somewhere. Who says that all the Force-sensitives among the slaves are actually Jedi, not just assumed to be kidnapped Jedi by observers who don't realize there are Force users outside the Order?) Public propaganda does quickly become common knowledge, even when it starts out commonly known to be false or hyperbole.
"How many Fell?" does depend on how you define "Fallen"—and if you assume that there weren't more like Quin who Fell but dragged themselves out of it before it became common knowledge or spiraled into full self-destruction.
Setting up Ferus as enslaved also fits his perfectionism and frustration with Anakin. (Another potential scenario: he had a master before Siri who had an untimely death he blames himself for, which would also fit why he took Darra's death so hard.)
In the very least, Jedi should have more joint missions and rotations into different types, where whoever's primary is based on skill set and everyone gets experiences as primary and secondary. Like, a healer goes with a diplomat who's negotiating a peace treaty. A combat strategist goes with a healer who's delivering a relief effort. It would help them communicate and understand each other, though some "joint" types would have to be done as exercises and not active missions, because you don't send someone from another discipline to spy on a warlord.
well there is also the whole don't want families in the thing cause some jedis long time ago (who surly had bad dating records) decided that it was likely falls? cause to have love and lost or never have loved at all, they go the second option? like why risk the POTENTIAL on it lets just circumvent it. which is a flawed premise on multiple levels? first being the assumption that your order is the greatest threat(which is fair enough), that your the only force users in the galaxy... and breaking the jedi order down to heel not as an order and culture but as an INSTITUTION.... I can SEE so many Politicians that would want to cut out from under them there ability to have argumetns as a culture and people tied directly into the republic? and just have servants. course the jedi have exist for a LONG time the older powers HAVE to have studied theorized and analyzed them for thigns and KNWOING getting them to do it themselves...

Well, yes. Protection against Falling is the justification now. That doesn't mean it's where the practice actually started, though. Or that only one thing was involved in starting the current practice.
The Jedi do have a bit of joint mission stuff, but at least from the canon I've seen/read, it's not as common as it should be, and it's often handled badly. Like, Knight X might be the diplomat on paper, but Master Y has seniority and thus takes over.

It's a good rule of thumb that anything that looks simple (or that's simple to use) is actually quite complicated to set up, under the hood. Simplicity requires expertise.
By the same token, anything that seems "easy" probably isn't. If it's something you are capable of doing, you aren't seeing all the little things you know that build up to that "easy" thing, and if it's something you aren't capable of doing, there are background factors you don't know.
Like, I have an extremely easy fudge recipe that works fantastic and tastes great, but part of why it's easy is that I have a few specific tools (a small saucepan with a thick bottom, a heat-safe spatula, and a silicone tray to pour the fudge in). Yeah, I think a lot of Anakin's Fall was from his vulnerabilities getting overlooked and mishandled by those who cared about him as a person and exploited by those who didn't—and that's whether or not you go with the premise that Operation: Knightfall wasn't actually him piloting. (The way Christiansen played it, marionette-ish, fits quite well with the idea that Palpatine was piloting Anakin at that point to solidify his grasp.)
At least some of the folks who make stuff for the Jedi Order must be making variations for those other markets, with the variations probably being an even larger market share than the Order's.
And definitely on that literature and shielding and meeting dynamics. Some Consulars would roll with it, of course, and maybe take advantage of some of that. Like, even ace!Luminara could leverage someone being attracted to her to distract them from paying quite as much attention to negotiation terms as they otherwise would, terms that are needed but that they'd protest more if they weren't distracted. Some wouldn't bother to be ethical about it, either, and some would leverage the details they pick up for amusement, pranking. Oh, there's still agency in either model, and he certainly had the capacity to make better choices than he did. His midichlorian count alone "should" have helped, since it means he had the capacity to "read" people better, but he navel-gazed too much. Palpatine and the "Chosen One" stuff didn't help, and it's possible that some holdover of slave mindset encouraged him to stay focused on his specialness, but encouragement isn't coercion, and it's not as if he was literally isolated.
