The flashback works so well! All of this is so well written. I love how Nico is so present here, even if he wasn't physically at the party. Marti knowing that just being with him will calm him down. I adore the image of them as penguins huddling against winter storms (Luchino's mind!), even though it hurts that they have to face those storms at all. Knowing that they have each other and their friends is everything. Warmth and love are always the feelings I associate with these boys, and that absolutely comes across in your fics.
thank you, verily. Nico really has a big influence on the squad and I'm glad I was able to translate it into the fic. the relationships between the boys are probably the most precious thing about the season, it's a joy and a responsibility to write about them.
