I liked the idea of tweaking More’s nose when it came to me (about two days past, although the rest of the scene was written weeks ago). We’re all so caught up in the concept of SAINT Thomas More, a Man for All Seasons, firm proponent of female education, that we’re likely to forget he was very much a man of his time and place.
