    So, i went back and reread this chapter after reading it the furst time, because it was such a fantastic description of what this did to them. You only need to read this chapter to understand exactly how much if an impact was made, and you can already see the changes that impact caused. And the vulnerability and desperation and absolute terror in both of them backed with the ability to reassure each other via touch. To ground themselves in the other. It was fantastically written and really breaks my heart, because like i said, it paints a very vivid picture of what happened to them.
