    I thought this would be a fun little quick read, but now, now I am so goddamn invested in seeing where this goes it's crazy! Seriously I want to see Spock shaken up and concerned for this Jim who clearly is Not Okay, but in his Vulcan way, not to mention Vulcan still has to be saved, that's a Thing That Needs to Happen.

    That used to be a good cadet, now look at him, he's got anxiety! And I'm terrible because I love it. Also love the Tarsus references because I'm a sucker for fics dealing with that fallout. Send more chapters soon please and thank-you :)

        The format was also super effective and compelling (especially because similar attempts usually fall through and it becomes a chore to read) But I found yours really added to the whole theme/vibe of chapter and really made it. Also I obviously love this story a whole heap already. Thank you for writing!

      The Outsider POV through Pike leaves so much in their heads still a mystery, which I think is compelling, but I do intend to at least have one direct Kirk/Spock conversation before the end of this fic. I think the original mind meld presented to AOS Kirk a depth of friendship that won him over, and now he's shared that with AOS Spock! How can anyone resist that potential for adventure?
