Honestly, thank you so much for giving me the chance to write Theory of Love fic! This is the longest fic for Yuletide I've ever written, and I enjoyed having film nerds in love feelings about Khai and Third.
I was nervous about the fake bromance youtube setup, so it's good to hear it worked for you. Because, look, ever since I first watched the Theory of Love trailer, I was like this series better make cute film references, and it didn't disappoint with scenes like Third imagining singing to Khai a la 10 Things I Hate About You, etc. And so centering a fic on them being both being film reviewers, not just Third, seemed like a fun concept.
My confession is that I am out of touch, pop culture wise, regarding a lot of romance films, so I genuinely had to watch some as 'research' for this fic. /o\
I'm glad you noticed the titles! I was initially not sure what to title the fic + chapters (my placeholder title for the entire fic was 'where there is love, there is hope,' which is a lovely quote from the film Love of Siam, but unfortunately not thematically relevant rip), so then I decided to go the movie reference route.
also the mental image of third dressed up in a shitty alligator costume tackling khai, amazing. I never watched the actual movie I was referencing here, but going by the reviews, it's bonkers. Literally, a dude and his girlfriend are trapped in an empty pool and getting menaced by an alligator. Also, that movie is sponsored by Pizza Hut.

Ahhh yeah, I know I was taking liberties re: sound designer!Khai, but I wanted to try to fit it in. He and Third had that nice bonding moment in the series while Khai recorded natural sound at night and he mentioned that he liked doing it, so I wanted to kind of over-extrapolate from that.
I couldn't help myself with the Un/Two scenes! They're such a wonderful side couple.
