   Uhm yes hello I've got a question.
   I've never watched a single piece of star trek media before, all I know is what I've absorbed from cultural osmosis. Is prior watching a requirement for taking this lesson? I mean reading this fic?

      Chapters 1-3 are essentially a recap? You should be fine. I think it should remain understandable.
