Comment on Everywhere, Everything

  1. The thing I liked most about this was that Walburga, after three days of minimal sleep and depression, actually seems quite like Sirius. Reactionary, flopping about, highly emotional. You get the sense that this is her real personality deep down and she just has gotten very good at masking it. Also loved Lucretia being the only one who could sneak into the room to talk some sense to her: checks out from how I see their relationship, at least. Cousins 4 Life.

I like that it ends on the hopeful note of "we'll get him back." Of course, fairly biased on that front, lol. TEAM GET SIRIUS BACK. It was interesting to see the similarities and differences in how other people see these events--you definitely wrote Orion as being uncharacteristically (for him) angry in this moment of extreme pressure/pain, where I've always seen Sirius running away as a total blindside for him and the post period as being basically shock/denial. It creates a slightly different dynamic to these events.

    Thanks for writing!

    1. Thanks so much! Yeah when I was writing this I really wanted to capture those similarities with Sirius and that feeling of 'sulking teenager' when Lucretia's talking to Walburga lol. It definitely adds a bit of levity as well.
As for the hopeful note, this absolutely ends on that note. If this fic was canon compliant it would've been way too depressing to write lol. They get him back and they all live happily ever after, the end.
As for Orion, yeah he is definitely much more angry than he would usually be. Part of it is definitely using all the bluster to cover up all the hurt, (which Lucretia can see through from miles away). Thanks so much for commenting! gotta say very glad you liked the Walburga characterization as that was what I was most worried about when writing this, but Im glad it turned out well.
