I just read the new second chapter to this story and was moved all over again. I'm glad I left a comment when I read this the first time. I think there's something very powerful about writing about illiteracy, especially in the context of fan fiction. We're the hard-core readers and writers, around here, and that imbues this story with a special level of pathos.
