Oh my God this was so worth the wait omg. I was so excited about this fic from the second you told me about it and here it is!! I love all the work that went into making Hondo sound right-- he has such a distinctive sliminess to him, and you nailed it. Luke is a precious little baby who must be protected. Vader doesn't care, he'll kick your ass, he'll kick HIS OWN ASS-- but actually no, he'll take all kinds of slander if it means keeping Luke from being so much as near another blaster bolt ever again.

I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE I lol'd heartily at this line, trust. How dare they not have the supplies to treat his perfect son??
I can't remember if I came up with that line before or after we had one of our (many) 'he's such a neurotic dad' conversations. I DON'T THINK IT'S OOC, I could actually see canon Vader saying something like that.
