Comment on Loss And Regrets

  1. Great chapter!

Loved beginning with Ted Grant tending to Laurel's wounds, and giving her some advice.

Thea and Iris getting questioned by Agent Watson was a good scene. I like how the two seem to have given Watson something to think about regarding Brickwell playing the FBI.

Loved Joe West's offer of a place to stay for Thea and her family.

So the League has been spotted near Starling? Interesting.

I liked Laurel's confrontation with the guy that Ted told her made his suits. Then she learns that Brickwell's been threatening the suit maker's girlfriend, so he tries to stall Laurel until the feds arrive. Good thing Laurel escaped.

*Shudders* The scene between Al-Sahim and Ra's gave me chills. The fact that Ra's is sending his Heir to Starling City does not bode well, especially since Al-Sahim has no memories of his former life as Oliver Queen (I'm guessing Nyssa is hiding in Starling? Since Ra's mentioned a "contender" for the position of Heir). Can't wait to see where this leads. (Question: How did Al-Sahim know who was closest to "Oliver Queen", considering that he currently has no memories of them? Just curious)

Agent Watson finally realizes that Brickwell has been misleading the FBI all along. It's about time someone figured it out.

Laurel hallucinating Brickwell again was pretty good. Shows how much he's gotten into her head lately. Here's hoping she snaps out of it soon.

Liked Laurel warning Darla about Brickwell's threat. Hope Darla listens to Laurel.

Loved the final scene. Good to see that Watson is at least willing to give Laurel the benefit of the doubt.

    Perfect title!

Stay safe and keep up the good work!

    1. I'm glad you liked it.

Watson was certainly given a lot to think about in this chapter, hasn't she?

I'm glad that you enjoyed Joe's small cameo.

Yep, The League has been spotted in Starling doing some reconnaissance. I wonder who or what they are looking for? A person, a place to launch their attack?

I'm glad that you enjoyed that scene where Laurel confronts the man that made Ted's suits. It was a hard part of the chapter to write.

Ra's knows that Al Sahim still has retained memories and information on Oliver Queen's past life, even if AL Sahim doesn't necessarily realize this. Remember who is currently a prisoner of The League, and may have noticed that some expressions that others may have missed, a man who knows Oliver very well. Malcolm Merlyn. Later, we will have hints of what Malcolm has endured while he has been their prisoner and the information that he may have given Ra's. Oliver re-emerging is a rather unique event, and I think that Ra's was very much testing to see who was more in control, AL Sahim or Oliver Queen. I hope that makes sense. And yes, Nyssa is currently hiding out in Starling, and we will get to see her next chapter.

Poor Laurel. Brick has certainly been toying with her long enough for her to continue her hallucinations. I like to think that it shows that despite how callous Laurel wants to paint herself as, or is currently trying to be, she still has that light inside of her. And her gentle heart forced her to ensure that at the very least, warns Darla.

Sometimes the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

I'm glad that you liked the title, and likewise, and I'll try my best, mate.

      1. Yep. Watson definitely has some thinking to do.

Cameos of Flash characters are always good. Maybe you could do a brief scene where Team Flash discusses some of the current events in Starling City? Just a idea.

The League in Starling is not a good sign.

I can see how that scene would be difficult.

I'm starting to see how "Oliver Queen" might not be as "dead" as previously thought. And you're right about Malcolm Merlyn knowing things.

Makes sense that Ra's would want to "test the waters", so to speak, about who is more in control of his Heir: Oliver Queen or Al-Sahim.

I had a feeling that Nyssa was hiding in Starling. Can't wait to see her again. (She's one of my favorite characters from the show, and I love seeing her in fanfictions, either as a main character or as a recurring one. The ones where she's a main character are usually League of Assassins AUs, either ones where she rescues Oliver instead of Sara from Lian Yu and he joins the League, eventually falling in love with her and marrying her, such as Heir Apparent by Stegro88 [which unfortunately hasn't been updated in a few years]; ones that take place following the Arrow Season 3 finale, and Oliver becomes Ra's instead of Malcolm after killing Nyssa's father like in Something You Should Know by hunter72; or fics where Nyssa saves Oliver after his duel with her father, and helps him recover, like in A Revelation of Truth by ButtonPusherExtraordinaire)

Yep. Poor Laurel. Personally, I believe that her "light" is something that is keeping her going, even when she feels like giving up. (There's a saying that I've either heard about or read in fanfictions: "Even in the darkest of places, there's always a spark of light." Or something along those lines)

"The enemy of my enemy is my friend" is similar to an Enemy Mine, to use the TV Tropes term. It's basically when two or more enemies temorarily call a truce and work together to fight a bigger threat. (Kinda like when Oliver and Malcolm worked together to bring down Adrian Chase/Prometheus and rescue their family (In Malcolm's case, his daughter Thea; in Oliver's case, his sister Thea and his son William) and friends in the Arrow Season 5 finale)

Yep. The title was a very good indication of the saying "Actions have consequences."

I'll continue to do my best as well.
