    AAAAAAAAAAA.

    So Jian is great, a really solid strong character - I'm assuming an OC unless I've forgotton something from the show lol! I really liked her dynamic with Bao and the way she and Jungkook interacted. Esp when she would have reason to have rather strong feelings over the father's son being the avatar. Love what you're doing with the dad in general.

    I love the little things you do, such as the sugary syrupy stuff dripping. So visual. I also love the mundane moments, like the setting up camp, travelling, cooking moments. Not one is boring and it lets the characters breathe and live.

    Yoongi's role is awesome. I couldn't work out how the fire nation could have arrived so fast, so you def pulled the wool over my eyes at the first crack of fire. Already love his relationship with the brothers.

    And no, Tae and Jungkook, I did not miss the 'he's so cool's and the 'his pretty brown eyes' moments. I like that they're already whipped for eachother, no fuss. And the fact that they were having a little giggle with eachother (as Yoongi observed) showing they're still young and somewhat innocent was lovely.

    Also.... and I think the stand out for me - when Jungkook says there was a bear - the three very different reactions that follow were so character-centric and just so smart.

    Don't envy him his to-do list!

      I've not got any plans to include any characters from canon at all at this point, I'm just using the worldbuilding as my sandbox and using OCs for everybody else. And potentially other idols - namjoon mentioned a 'chanyeol hyung' earlier. Do you remember me stressing out about the thing that would kickstart the plot? I came up with Jian and the Spirits storyline as a way to solve that conundrum. I'm glad it's engaging and Jian is compelling.
      The mundane moments are always the best parts of fanfic which is why I've tried to include pockets of it between all the high stakes stuff.
      And yes!! Relationships are happening, both platonic and otherwise! Taekook are the candy floss fluff because everybody else is going to be angsty as shit about everything.
      The bear dialogue initially came from canon - one of my favourite exchanges is when they go to ba sing se and find out the king has a pet bear. Not a platypus bear or any other combination of animal. Just a bear :D
