    Where did you serve, that they didn't teach you to respect other people? As a soldier, I am not quick to judge people's lack of knowledge when it comes to military customs, ranks, and rules. It's was a mistake, the writer didn't write it intending to upset people. The writer felt badly enough to try and correct it. Besides it's a fictional story, I don't understand why you are so offended.
