Clint reliving the murder (because there's really no other word for it) of Brianna Williams is tough. I fully understand why that would haunt him. The response that you wrote to his pain is very believable; the way he punishes himself seems to fit his character.
I've never been a fan of "Clint in the vent" but you make it work in this, with him just sleeping in there when the nightmares get to be too much and he's got to hide from everyone, including himself (good luck with that, kid).
The fact that Clint can't bring himself to trust any gifts, even ones so simple as a snack after a workout, say more to his past than page after page of angsty dialogue.
