          I don't have the app(is this an app?) so I don't know how there notifications work but if you have to reply to the comment to get rid of the notification that's not a very intuitive feature.

              I don't really know, but I think the the argument was more just Izuku's perspective. He's obviously been through some unsweetened sherbert salad that has warped his perspective on the world to be hella pessimistic. It's easier for him to ignore that dolphins exist, and say and think these things, plus suppress his emotions, instead of cope in a healthier way. But I mean that's just what I was thinking while reading.
