Rodney and Daniel seemed to have a lot of fun together in that crossover where SG1 comes to Atlantis to stop the Ori from building a supergate (I think? It's been a while and I watched it out of context.) even though John was really mean there with giving Cameron a lemon to scare Rodney - very OOC for him, I think!
There will be no deathly citrus attacks here, only Rodney and Daniel getting a little (a lot) carried away in their scientific enthusiasm over Ancient tech. And of course getting to live out fantasies! I imagine Lantis being all bewildered why they don't simply talk about them and as she sees that John and Rodney are definitely together she deducts it's all right to talk to them about the respectively other's fantasies.

He *does* play the kissing really well. God, he looks so into it. That's...that's so hot. I've seen a few of David's works. He dies in a lot of them, sadly. But oh man, you should watch Survivor (those are the David-only scenes). Tarlan writes this great series that takes that movie and fuses it with Stargate. Also? That person has uploaded a ton of David-only scenes from his various works. It might be hard to understand the plot to some of them, since he may have a minor role, but you can at least look at his cute face!

I was pretty surprised at how well Daniel and Rodney got along? Like, there was some snippiness, but there was also a sense of companionship. Like when they were working and Rodney tells him John could have been in MENSA. Also, Daniel calls Rodney "Rod" at one point, which I think Rodney mentions he once tried to get people to call him in college, or something. Yeah, I don't like the scene where John gives Cameron a fake lemon to scare Rodney with. Definitely OOC. I could rant about it for ages lol
I've been spending the last mornings on my way to work in the tram reading that story mentioned in the kissing post as well as the others by that author - so brilliant!
And I totally read the series by Tarlan and was so amazed by it! :D But sadly I'll probably never be able to watch Survivor because I get really bad nightmares from horror movies and gave up watching them a few years ago when I had a really serious sleeping disorder. It's better now, but I'm still wary of everything which can cause my sleep to be disturbed. But I'll definitely check out these videos of the David-only-scenes, that sounds like fun!
Also, in the back of my mind there are already playing out different variations of the next chapter with Rodney and Daniel getting into trouble (Yay!). Daniel is being all bewildered and argumentative that it was totally unplanned that that Ancient whatsit activated and did what it did (because of Daniel and his wandering hands) and the villagers freaking out about it and Rodney insulting them was just a small misunderstanding (Rodney being rude as usual). Thankfully for John, the General is in Atlantis for a slightly longer stay this time, otherwise he would have marched Daniel to Earth through the gate to deliver him to Jack. As it is, he just has to deal with Rodney, and then, of course, unfolds the whole glorious scene with Lantis being a little less than discreet (what's new?) and the boys talking and ... stuff. :D

Tarlan is a great author :) Ooo, yeah. I grew up on horror movies, so I'm used to them. I forget sometimes that not everybody is the same! But the fic does a pretty good job of explaining events, so yeah. I'm glad you're doing better now, at least!
Oh man, I love the idea of Daniel and Rodney being themselves and getting into trouble, and then making it *worse*. Haha, poor John. Together, they are just trouble magnets too big for him to handle on his own. Also, John would be totally relieved at being able to just hand Daniel off to Jack to deal with, haha.

Mhmmmm, yes, John being all terse and trying to reign in his anger until he has his geeks safely back on Atlantis and checked over (checked out? Is that more like ogling?) in the infirmary and speaking in clipped off sentences. And then imagining in vivid technicolor detail what he'd like to do to Rodney while he paces outside of the infirmary, never once thinking it could become reality. All the while Rodney is flushed inside the infirmary, too, and trying to concentrate on scientific... things... because he finds John in full command mode seriously hot and he doesn't need an inappropriate boner while Carson checks his vitals. *cough* And Lantis finds John's fantasies most curious and with her usual complete incomprehension of privacy and inappropriate questions she tries to talk about them to John in the middle of the hallway, so John goes from grimly planning out Rodney's imminent demise to completely mortified and flustered in 2 seconds flat. XD

And then scientist Doctor McKay should be his next victim but distracts him with lots of science babble and wanting to study John's awesome ass *cough* I meant powers... This has lots of potential! :D

LOL I love the idea of Rodney getting a Pavlovian reflex to certain things, which John *knows*, and will bring a hairbrush or something to a meeting and make sure Rodney see's it...just to tease him ;) Their banter is endearing and definitely makes it super easy to ship them :D I came into the fandom already shipping them because of friends, but their banter...yeaaah. They have such a strong relationship :)
Oh god yeah, I've read that tumblr post. Thankfully, I don't come across too many fics where the guys use spit as lube, unless the fic is kinky and lets the readers know that the characters are aware of how not good spit is as lube :P LOLLL I mean, I get their point about prostate seeking missiles, but I read fic to escape real life, so I don't mind when my OTP has nearly perfect sex every time :P
OMG, yes, that is a great idea!! Man, Rodney's ass. Oh yeah, these squicks are tricky. Also, sympathy embarrassment is so bad! There is a whole genre of comedy movies I don't watch because of that. Like, when all the "jokes" are that something embarrassing happens to the protagonist, not only do I find that *not funny* but my heart aches too much for the protagonist and I feel so uncomfortable seeing it. "Meet the parents" with Ben Stiller was the last one I saw in that direction, I felt terrible during that movie.
