    Ahhhh this gives me a weird out-of-time sort of feel... like this could take place around the early 2000's??? I keep imagining a sunset kinda feel around every after-school scene

    This gives me a weirdly vivid image of how this wpuld look in a comic

      Oh, I'm so glad! I kind of wanted to have my cake and eat it too -- I really wanted to achieve a sort of out-of-time vibe to capitalize on reader nostalgia, but I also gave them vaguely-modern phones. I'm so happy to hear that came through in the finished product!

      I didn't even consider how this would look in a comic, but now I can't get the thought out of my head. That's such a cool idea! I can see the color scheme and art style in my mind's eye already...
