when Ace and Ryenne were leaving Lulusia and he's just thinking "bird. boat. pretty cloud. etc etc." so that she won't pick up on his plans if she reads his mind, all i can think of is that joke from twilight where Edward's like "I can't read Bella's mind... strange" and someone comments "He can't hear her thoughts because she has none." and that's Ace and Ryenne. Ryenne tries to read his mind and he has no brain cells. No thoughts. Head empty
Woah I actually had that gag running in my mind the first time I was writing about Ryenne's powers. I was all "hmm why don't i make ace an exception for that?" And they'll find out that there's nothing special about it. Just ace being the usual blockhead.
