    Oh oh oh I LOVE this. Your voices for the Durins are just...perfect. I want to hang out with them. Thorin and Frerin's interactions in particular were absolutely lovely, perfect blend of joy and grief. Basically this whole chapter left me grinning. Can't wait to see how this turns out.

    WAIT I just read another comment...22k already written? That is excellent news. Subscribed, bookmarked and kudo'd :D

      Oh, wow! Thank you so very very much - I am relieved and thrilled I have managed to find the Durin's voices. Oh, I do have a lot of feels about Frerin - only forty-eight, dear god who put that baby in a battle.

        You definitely have (in my opinion, at least!) because they just seem like one of those big, squabbling, loving families, and it's great to see them all together like this - so many of them have died D: Frerin in particular hurts to think about, because he was basically a child.
