    I teared up when I got to the end and read the poem. It's pretty important to me, too, and it fits the tone of the fic perfectly.
    Your writing is incredibly powerful and you've handled this topic sensitively. I really empathised with the characters and the way you've dealt with people's reactions is something that I think really stood out to me. Everything feels like it could be canonical and the characters felt human and sincere.

      Ah, I'm so glad there's someone else who appreciates that poem like I do! I'm a huge fan of Whitman, his work really speaks to me and reading it always gives me the sense that life is something to be appreciated. I just love his poetry and hearing any of his quotes makes me go all gooey inside.

      Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I'm so pleased to hear it affected you. I tried very hard to make sure the characters stayed true to themselves, especially when dealing with the ones that never got much interaction in canon.
