I'll bet you are! If it's no trouble, might I ask when the next chapter will be out?
Good call doing that. It'll be interesting to see how much deeper this connection between Amitie, Sig, and Primp's days of yore can truly go...
Oh, YOU added all that info? Once again, egg on my face! That said, I'm really glad to see that someone who's actually been translating the stuff locked in Japan and/or misinformation going from Japan to the West is helping out on TV Tropes. You know, if it helps... I've actually had a TV Tropes account for quite some time now, helping out the Puyo Puyo pages.
Yeah, while I'm happy at how SEGA's finally addressing dimensional travel in Puyo Puyo, I've noticed that there ARE still some things that need some serious explaining, such as... well, just about EVERYTHING you just listed. Funny thing is, Amitie getting AMNESIA (of all things) after landing in Suzuran from Primp is something that I especially still can't wrap my mind around. By the way, I'd like to ask something about Puyo Wars if you don't mind. Considering how it takes place in an AU where Satan undid the time freeze on his reality in BOX, would that make it all the more 'removed' from the usual 'Puyo continuum', so to speak?
Honestly, I've always been of the belief (well, moreso a headcanon than anything else, but still) that Arle's world had absolutely NO tech whatsoever, relying on magic for... pretty much everything. Whereas Amitie's world would be the 'magitec world', with said magictec being as recent as the late 90's/early 2000's and even then, it's not used in the 'traditional' sense that we (or anyone from Ringo's reality, for that matter) would use such things.
Ah, I see. Man, talk about having the worst kind of luck... Still though, going by what you said, it makes me wonder. I know Doppel is really only being protected by the Iolith Gem, but considering how she's taken on a god and won, I'd imagine a demon wouldn't faze her THAT badly. Why, I even imagine her telling the demon (much to its surprised interest) that she's fought a god, lasted MANY years, AND won (though not without a literal multitude of costs).
Regarding Maguro, it's funny. I even added the whole thing about how he enjoys his trips to Amitie's world since he doesn't feel the pressure of being the center of attention like he is back home to TV Tropes, though I'm not too sure labeled that under the correct trope... I won't lie, the whole thing about Maguro having 'a fanclub about as big as a small community' thing... well, I came across via Google Translate on that site. That said, it seemed to be bundled with all of the other info that can be found on the Drama CD, so...
Honestly? This is pretty much why Maguro is probably one of my favorite characters in all of Puyo Puyo. It also helps that he's one of the few characters in this series who you could see spending the day with and won't get comically violent over the slightest provocation.
Next chapter should be out before Christmas, Christmas Eve at latest!
That's what I do when I find a new fandom; I feed myself every piece of lore I can find and then spread it all around. It's kinda my thing, heh heh. Honestly, the whole "time freeze" thing was never fully canonized by Compile (looks like the Madou writer's room was a battle field most of the time where nobody could agree on anything), so that's really hard to answer. A lot of the lore information we have from the Compile era is actually contradictory because of that and we can't even be sure if the time freeze ever happened or not. Without giving anything away, this fic works under the assumption that it did, THO I kinda patchworked the exact mechanics of it together from various things different writers have said so... This is more or less going to be *my* version of events, since that's really all one *can* work with in a franchise like that, ahahaha. :'D
Arle's world would have to have at least some magitec, given that they have Amusement Parks and Circuses over there. Oh, also death rays that can quadruple the size of the sun.
I won't say anything else on Doppel's and "Aya"'s confrontation for now, let's just say it will not at all go as you expect.
My favorite Maguro trivia is the fact that he's accidentally caused Ringo to get into competetive chocolate-making. After listening to that audio drama, I fully expect that one of these days that Ringo will roll on with a tank made of solid chocolate and he'll respond by building an entire palace made of white chocolate, Willie-Wonka style, causing Ringo to go on a massive, chocolate-fueled rampage. Like, maybe Satan can help her develop a doomsday laser that can turn a planet into chocolate. He certainly has the experience-
